$2,985 towards $10,000

May 5, 2020 8 a.m. – May 6, 2020 8 p.m.

Stand with me and fight for the survival of RESCUED ROLLERS. They give so much to our community – join me in giving back to them.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, many of our community nonprofits are experiencing or will experience some kind of financial hardship, through cancellation of their fundraising events, or an increase in the number of people needing help, or even just having to close their operation down because they are not considered an “essential business.” Let’s not forget, many of our nonprofits are completely staffed by volunteers, and in some cases, operate on a shoestring budget. The Crawford County nonprofit I am supporting is RESCUED ROLLERS. They are a special needs dog rescue (blind/deaf/paralyzed/medical) and offer education to shelters, rescues and caregivers on how to care for these special dogs. Any donations made through my fundraising page will go to this organization.

To support this effort, The Community Foundation for Crawford County is launching this 2-day online giving event to help nonprofits in Crawford County in their time of need and get much-needed operating funds into their hands NOW. The Foundation’s Board has pledged to match dollar for dollar the first $25,000 raised online during this event, and they will cover all online donation fees so that every dollar donated goes directly to the nonprofits.

Generosity has the power to unite and heal communities in good times and bad. A pandemic threat like COVID-19 affects more than just the infected – it touches every person’s life in one form or another. However, we are presented with a perfect opportunity to come together as a community.

Please give to support this nonprofit on May 5th beginning at 8 a.m. until May 6th at 8 p.m. - no amount is too small. Nonprofits need our support NOW more than ever.

Be a part of the solution - show your support and rally to do good! We stand together as a community. #CrawfordCountyStrong
