Adopt-A-Senior

As a non-profit organization, the Crawford County Council on Aging relies on contributions to support its mission of enabling seniors with long-term care needs to live independently in their homes. As the senior population continues to grow rapidly in the coming years, we need to provide essential services to assist independence, safety, and quality of life.

Adopt-A-Senior helps to support Home Delivered Meals; In-Home Care (including personal care and homemaking); and Transportation. Funds from the campaign will be used to expand and enhance our existing programs.

• Adopt-A-Senior: Meals for One Week-$25 This enables one home bound senior to enjoy one meal a day for one week.
• Adopt-A-Senior: Transportation for Two Weeks-$50 This enables one senior transportation (round trip) once a day for two weeks.
• Adopt-A-Senior: Homemaker or Personal Care Services for One Month-$250 This enables one senior to receive homemaking or personal care services for two hours two times a week.

Not only will you feel good about doing good, but you will get more BANG for your buck! EVERY DONATION ON #GIVING2SDAY GENERATES AN ADDITIONAL DONATION FROM THE FOUNDATION TO THE FUND(S) OF THE DONOR'S CHOICE. The Foundation's Board of Trustees agreed to set aside $25,000 to distribute to participating funds on a pro-rated basis. Donations made online from NOW through November 27, 2018 are eligible for this additional donation.

You can't donate online? No problem! You can mail a check to The Community Foundation for Crawford County at 254 E. Mansfield Street, Bucyrus, OH 44820. Just write the name of the fund(s) you want your gift to support in the Note/Memo line of your check. PLEASE NOTE: Checks must be dated 11/27/18 in order to be eligible for an additional donation from the Foundation.

But wait - there's more! Thanks to a $1,500 gift from OneIT, an additional $500 will be added to the top earning fund in each of these three categories: agency funds, school funds, and scholarship funds. If my fund raises the most money, it will take one of these prizes!
