Camp Michael will provide all young people the opportunity to grow in knowledge about themselves through the outdoor experience. We will encourage them to develop an appreciation and love of wildlife and the environment, learn history, win confidence, develop character, spirituality and moral growth

Last year the COVID-19 pandemic caused many of our community nonprofits to experience financial hardship from which they are still recovering. In addition, many of our nonprofits are completely staffed by volunteers, and in some cases, operate on a shoestring budget.

The Crawford County nonprofit I am supporting is Camp Michael. Any donations made through my fundraising page will go to this organization.

To help support their fellow local nonprofits in their for good missions, the Community Foundation for Crawford County is launching a 2-day online giving event, #CrawfordForGood, designed to get much-needed operating funds into their hands as soon as possible.

This year, the Foundation will be matching donations raised online on a pro-rated basis from a pool of $10,000 being offered by our Board of Trustees, the Hord Family Donor Advised Fund, and the Carter Family Donor Advised Fund. Donations must be given online during the 2-day event (July 27th - July 28th) to be eligible for the pro-rated match.

Generosity has the power to unite and heal communities in good times and bad. We are presented with a perfect opportunity to come together again as a community.
